1. Acceptance

By accessing or using ResuMatch ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, users, and registered accounts.

2. Description of Service

ResuMatch is an AI-powered resume optimization tool that analyzes resumes against job descriptions, generates tailored suggestions, creates cover letters, and exports formatted documents. The Service is provided "as is" and is subject to change at any time.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and verify it to access the full Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

4. Free Tier and Usage Limits

The Free plan includes a limited number of resume analyses, AI chat messages, and PDF exports per month, as displayed in your account settings. We reserve the right to adjust these limits at any time. Guest users (without an account) are limited to one free trial per device per 24 hours.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service programmatically without permission.
• Use the Service to generate fraudulent or fabricated credentials, certifications, or employment history.
• Inject malicious instructions into resume or job description fields to manipulate AI behavior.
• Share, sell, or transfer your account to another person.
• Use automated tools to bypass usage limits or abuse the guest trial system.

6. AI-Generated Content

ResuMatch uses Claude AI (by Anthropic) to generate resume suggestions, optimized text, and cover letters. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies or omissions. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and validating all AI-generated output before submitting it to any employer. ResuMatch makes no guarantee that optimized resumes will result in interviews or job offers.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of the resume content you submit. By submitting content, you grant ResuMatch a limited, non-exclusive license to process it for the purpose of providing the Service. The ResuMatch platform, branding, and underlying code are owned by Surya Kanagaraj and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CVPILOT AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING LOSS OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES OR DATA.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect any changes. Continued use of ResuMatch after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tamil Nadu, India.
